Payroll Specialist

Lawelawe Management Group is looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to support our finance operations. In this role, you’ll ensure employees are paid accurately and on time while keeping payroll records organized and compliant.
This is a consulting engagement. Work is structured around specific projects, with assignments that may range from short-term surge support to longer-term initiatives, depending on client requirements.
What You’ll Do
- Confirm timecards are complete and accurate
- Prepare and process biweekly payroll
- Reconcile and record payroll in the accounting system
- Set up new employees in the accounting system
- Remove terminated employees in the accounting system
- Complete local, state, and federal payroll reporting
What We’re Looking For
- Payroll processing experience required
- Strong Excel and MS Office skills (Deltek Costpoint a plus)
- Detail-driven, organized, and reliable
- Familiarity with payroll compliance at local, state, and federal levels
- Able to work independently and meet deadlines
