Lawelawe Management Group is seeking an Executive Assistant to join the corporate office in Chantilly, Virginia. The Executive Assistant will be responsible for performing administrative duties and assisting in the day-to-day operation of the CEO and will perform duties that are highly confidential in nature.

Responsibilities
  • Assists in effectively coordinating, communicating, and facilitating the implementation and administration of all projects and initiatives included in the corporation’s activities.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with management personnel to provide a communication channel for existing business and for developing future business possibilities.
  • Act as project manager for special projects as directed which may include planning and coordinating multiple presentations, disseminating information, and organizing companywide events.
  • Assist in the management of daily schedule and overall calendar, organize and maintain files and office for an effective and professional work area.
  • Provide administrative support with travel arrangements, expense report submittals, etc. 
  • Responds to information requests on behalf of the corporation and its portfolio of clients as directed.
  • Prepares summaries of reports and information as directed.
  • Supports executive team during meetings including preparing agendas, making various arrangements, and recording minutes.
  • Participates in the planning of executive retreats and staff development meetings.
  • Reviews requests, inquiries, and calls (internal and external) that are submitted to the CEO to access their appropriateness for proper routing and handling.
  • Assist in developing and monitoring the achievement of various department goals and objectives. 
  • Create and complete correspondence as directed; to include work processing/typing of letters, memos, forms, policies, and procedures (includes handling of confidential information).
  • Attend and participate in community outreach events and maintain public relations that serve the organization as directed.
  • Other miscellaneous job-related and accounting duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
Education and Experience
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  •  3+ years of related experience in an Executive Administrative position required
  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in Business Administration or related field or a four-year accredited college or university preferred. Extensive work experience will be considered in lieu of education OR Associates Degree (A.A.) from two-year college or technical school required.   • Proficient with all Microsoft Office programs and other miscellaneous business software.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work in a deadline driven environment.
  • Maintain a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. 
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small groups situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Maintains valid driver’s license and be insurable under company insurance provider/program.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Must be able to set up trade show booth materials and responsible for shipping to various locations when necessary
  • Occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • Expresses or exchanges ideas by means of the spoken word.  Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly or quickly.
  • Frequently moves some equipment up to 40 pounds.
  • Must be able to work indoor conditions 90% of the time.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. We offer a hybrid remote work environment, and typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Evening and weekend hours as required by business need.

Travel
Travel is expected to be less than 10% of the time for this position.
