Human Resources Generalist

Lawelawe Management Group is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to oversee employee relations, onboarding, training, and compliance. This role blends day-to-day HR operations with strategic input, ensuring our teams are supported while the organization remains aligned with current employment laws and best practices.
This is a consulting opportunity. Work is structured around specific client projects, with assignments that may range from short-term surge support to longer-term initiatives, depending on client requirements and needs.
What You’ll Do
- Administer and execute HR programs, including compensation, benefits, and leave management
- Handle employment-related inquiries from employees, managers, and departments, escalating sensitive matters as needed
- Manage employee lifecycle activities: onboarding, offboarding, I-9 compliance, and new hire orientations
- Provide guidance and support to managers on employee relations and workplace issues
- Review, document, and update company policies to ensure compliance with employment laws
- Partner with leadership to support HR initiatives that align with strategic goals
What We’re Looking For
- Professional experience as an HR Generalist, HR Specialist, or similar role
- Strong understanding of federal and state employment laws and compliance requirements
- Experience managing onboarding, offboarding, and HR documentation processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust across teams
- Highly organized, detail-driven, and comfortable handling confidential information
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms (experience with ADP, Paycom, or similar is a plus)
- US Citizenship required
