Contracts Administrator

Lawelawe Management Group is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Contracts Administrator to provide contracting support across multiple subsidiaries and divisions. This role is central to ensuring compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), FAR supplementals, and company requirements. You will work closely with leadership, finance, and project teams to manage the contract lifecycle from setup through closeout while ensuring all activities meet regulatory, financial, and organizational standards.
This is a consulting opportunity. Work is structured around specific client projects, with assignments that may range from short-term surge support to longer-term initiatives, depending on client requirements and needs.
What You’ll Do
- Provide specialized support in managing a portfolio of contracts across subsidiaries and divisions, ensuring compliance with FAR and FAR supplementals.
- Draft, review, and maintain contract documentation, modifications, and correspondence to support ongoing programs.
- Collaborate with project managers, finance teams, and leadership to track deliverables, funding limitations, and reporting requirements.
- Assist in preparing for audits and annual financial management reports by maintaining accurate and accessible contract records.
- Partner with finance to reconcile contract-related transactions, validate postings, and ensure contract compliance aligns with accounting and reporting requirements.
- Monitor contract ceilings, funding obligations, and potential risks, proactively alerting leadership to any issues that could impact performance.
- Support monthly financial closings by ensuring contract data is accurately captured and reported.
- Prepare and submit necessary documentation for compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements, and advise management on new or changing regulations.
- Serve as a liaison between internal teams and external partners to address questions, resolve issues, and maintain positive relationships throughout the contract lifecycle.
- Keep management informed of contract status, risks, and developments that impact financial or operational outcomes.
What We’re Looking For
- Professional experience in contract administration or management, preferably within a federal contracting environment.
- Strong understanding of FAR, DFARS, and other federal regulatory frameworks governing contracts.
- Experience drafting, reviewing, and maintaining contract documents and modifications.
- Familiarity with accounting principles and financial reporting processes, particularly as they relate to contract compliance.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to translate contract terms into actionable requirements for teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and contract management tools (Deltek Costpoint or similar a plus).
- Detail-driven, proactive, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
- US Citizenship required.
